About
About Roofing Everett WA
Roofing Everett WA is a licensed residential and commercial roofing company serving Everett and Snohomish County. We handle roof replacement, repair, inspection, and moss/algae treatment across asphalt shingle, cedar shake, metal, and flat/low-slope roofing, along with commercial TPO and EPDM roofing, storm and wind-damage repair with insurance-ready documentation, and roof work inside Everett's designated Historic Overlay Zones.
What we build to
A roof looks simple from the street, and most of what determines whether it lasts is the underlayment, flashing, and fastening details nobody sees once it's installed. We install to Snohomish County's 110 mph prescriptive design wind speed — not a national-average minimum — and when a job actually requires a permit, we confirm that and pull it through Everett's Online Permitting Portal as part of the job rather than leaving it to you. Not every re-roof needs one; see Everett's roof permit requirements.
Properties inside the Rucker-Grand, Norton-Grand, or Riverside Historic Overlay Zone face an additional design-review requirement on top of that standard permit — a real, Everett-specific rule that affects material and color choice. We check which zone (if any) a property sits in before ordering material, not after. See what historic overlay zone review actually requires.
Why this climate matters
Everett sits directly on Puget Sound at Port Gardner, with no sheltering high ground to the west — which is why wind, not extreme rain, is what actually ages a roof here. Snohomish County's building code sets a 110 mph prescriptive design wind speed for construction, and windstorm season (roughly November through February) is a real, recurring source of shingle blow-off and flashing failure on waterfront-exposed properties. See what to do after windstorm roof damage.
That same wind exposure is why the insurance picture is more nuanced than most homeowners expect: sudden windstorm damage is typically a covered event, but wear-related deterioration that built up over years typically is not. We document which situation applies to your roof honestly, before you file a claim, not after. See does insurance cover wind damage in Washington.
Everett also carries one of the region's oldest housing stocks — Riverside's homes are more than 61% pre-1939 construction, and North Everett and Bayside add their own dense pockets of century-old craftsman and mill-worker housing. Original cedar shake roofs on these homes often sit on skip-sheathing decking rather than solid plywood, which changes what a modern re-roof requires. See common roof-deck problems on Everett's older homes.
How we price
We publish cost ranges rather than making you call to find out whether you can afford us — the 2026 cost guide lays out pricing by material, and the cost calculator works from your own roof size. Estimates are free and on-site, and you get a written price with tear-off and any deck repair broken out as separate lines so you can compare it honestly against anyone else's bid.
If a repair is the better spend than a full replacement, we say so on the estimate visit — including when that means the smaller job for us.
What we will not do
We will not roof over a deck we have not inspected, we will not offer to waive your insurance deductible — that is fraud, not a discount — and we will not tell you a roof needs replacing when a repair would do. We also will not publish reviews we have not received or credentials we do not hold — if you do not see star ratings on this site, that is deliberate.
